double payment

My student loan provider is terrified. I made a huge double payment yesterday and I thought it was going to crash the site. Every step of the way, a message popped up asking, "Are you SURE?" "Really? YOU REALLY WANT TO DO THIS???" Four times, in fact. Once the payment was finally submitted, I received a scary looking email from them that looked like the kind of thing you get from your bank when there is a suspicious charge on your account. Clearly, they were hoping I would continue to pay the minimum until my scheduled last payment - May 17, 2020.

Yeah. That's right Sallie Mae, you better be scared, BEYOTCH.

Make sure the payment applies to principal instead of applying to future interest payments.

I'm too scared to know the date for when I'll finally pay off my student loan. :(

I would love to be at that point where I can pay off the student loan at double the speed... but unfortunately, the credit card debt takes a huge chunk out of my pay. I need to get paid more so I can get rid of the CC bullshit and get on with life.

That's funny... I made the mistake of posting the wrong routing number with a payment. I freaked out and posted a payment to offset that hoping they'd take it and not charge me for bouncing the previous payment.

The one bounced... The other cleared. Someone said "hmm" and corrected the bounced payment's routing number and then that cleared and I almost thought I'd have to eat ramen for a week. :-p

I kind of hope I get 'hired' by the place that's making me live from contract to contract so I can scare 'em with some payments. I'm tired of it hanging over my head.

So gangsta! I will most likely be that person who defects to France and then comes back to the states later on in life-assuming some stupid alias until finally, one day when I'm out grocery shopping in my bathrobe and flip-flops, get slammed up against the frozen perogies in the supermarket and shaken for all that's in my account...-$35.00 (*notice the negative sign in front of the amount because of overdraft charges).

i don't know about that.... from what i understand drugs can get kinda pricey & so can women if they hang around enough. lol

A guy at work once told me the story of when his girlfriend payed off her Student Loan. She had saved up enough money to pay it off in full. So she called up the student loan people to make the arrangements and the guy on the phone says to her, "Are you sure you want to pay this off? Are you sure you don't want to like, buy a new stereo or something?" Seriously, wtf?

Anyway, good job on the huge payment! Here's to lower debt.
